SSI Inc. has been supporting the CBP mission since 2006, specifically the RVSS Upgrade Portfolio (DHS Level 1 Program) in the areas mentioned below.
Program Management
Support the deployment of RVSS Upgrade in Rio Grande Valley
Support the operations and sustainment of deployed RVSS systems nationwide
Support the deployment planning for RVSS in coordination with Border Wall System
Support the acquisition planning for RVSS deployment nationwide
Acquisition Management
Develop acquisition requirements packages, including the Performance Work Statement or Statement of Work (PWS/SOW), Request for Proposal (RFP) and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL).
Work with PMO and Contracting officials and assist the PMs with shaping an effective acquisition strategy to meet mission needs.
Contract Management
Review the submitted contract deliverables to determine their compliance with contract/program requirements and applicable DHS standards.
Prepare an analysis report documenting the findings to the government.
Prepare technical reports and evaluations for generation of Engineering Change Proposals
Laydown Planning
Responsible for pre-deployment planning/design activities for the deployment of surveillance technology
Conduct site surveys, collect data and make recommendations within the constraints of constructability, USBP operations needs, viewshed analysis, GIS, communication laydown, environmental and real estate constraints
Special Studies / Transition Planning
Transition planning of maintenance and sustainment from contractor to government organic support
Legacy equipment migration to Command and Control (C2) facilities
Operational continuity planning to support RVSS upgrade deployments
Transition planning to centralized NOC/SOC
Legacy RVSS tower maintenance/overhaul activities
Speciality engineering studies including CWR initiatives, technical and operational assessments of fielded technology
Respond to programmatic, technical and financial taskers from internal and external stakeholders
Develop communications plans used by stakeholders and government monitors to oversee deployment activities
